Results of Proposals for ARA Rule Changes – 2008

65 Match Directors sent in their Club votes. 

 1.       Require 40 targets, 3 tournaments, minimum of 3 different ranges for Agg/Line or A/Line Championships. FAILED (25/40)

 2.       Require 50 targets, 4 tournaments, minimum of 4 different ranges for Agg/Line or A/Line Championships.  FAILED (5/60)

 3.       Require 60 targets, 5 tournaments, minimum of 5 different ranges for Agg/Line or A/Line Championships.  FAILED (8/57)

 4.       Require use of Rig plug and Waltex magnifier (or similar magnifier of 8X or more) to score ARA targets.  PASSED (48/7)

 5.       Limit night events to one event per Club, per season.  FAILED (18/45)

 6.       Limit Clubs to a maximum of 42 targets per season, including Tournaments.  FAILED (18/44)

 7.       Raise the minimum number of shooters required to constitute an event from 2 to 5.  FAILED (16/49)

 8.       Allow completed targets to be hung for viewing as the match progresses. PASSED (41/23)

The two proposals that passed will be incorporated into the 2008 Rule Book that will be distributed in January, 2008.
